AMA is a nationwide farmers' organization with chapters in
several regions and provinces. Its history as a farmers’
organization date back to the 1930s. They have been involved
both in promoting agricultural development and in advocating for
the rights and welfare of farmers. It had experiences managing
livelihood projects in the cultivation and marketing of tilapia
fingerlings and in the production of organic fertilizers from
chicken manure and its marketing.
The PHDF launched a Free Email Connectivity Project in the
Isabela chapter office of AMA located in Santiago, Isabela on
April 5, 2002. The chapter members were joined by national
officers based in Bulacan and provincial officers headed by
Juanito Dajose. Guests included Brgy. Captain Bong Cutchon of
Bgy. Victory Norte, Sam Guina of Levi's Foundation Philippines,
Becky Fuellos and Nilda Loresto of PBSP, and PHDF's Board of
Adviser Gigi Disini, Project Coordinator Pinky Castelo-Cupino,
Field Coordinator Iris Sabordo and Engineer Val Genova.
